Rishi Kashyap Swasthya Seva Yatra organised by National Medicos Organisation (NMO) from 18th to 22nd September 2021 was today flagged off by Divisional Commissioner, Dr Raghav Langer for conducting medical and Covid awareness camps in border areas.During the 5 day campaign over 200 doctors and other medical staff would organise 105 medical cum Covid awareness camps in the border/remote areas of Jammu province from Poonch to Kathua. The main objective of the camps is to provide Health Services to the border residents at their doorsteps. In the camps the locals will be provided with free medicines, free blood sugar and B.P check up, besides spreading awareness on Covid and prevention of 3rd wave. This year the main focus of the RKSSY will be Covid Awareness and make preparations for combating the 3rd wave by imparting necessary knowledge to the general masses in remote and border areas of Jammu & Kashmir/ Ladakh UTs. National Medicos Organsation is a leading Pan India organization of qualified doctors and medical students, functioning throughout the country. NMO aims to organize and motivate allopathic doctors for serving under-privileged sections of the society, settled in the tribal villages and slum areas of India. From its inception, NMO is working untiringly for providing devoted voluntary health services primarily to interior villages through Seva activities with it slogans "Swasthya Seva - Rashtra Seva". The NMO intends to promote sense of Seva, patriotism, Bharatiya Culture and Sanskar among budding doctors and medical students.

The NMO is organizing health camps in J&K for the last seven years under Rishi Kashyap Swasthya Seva Yatra, a unique and one of its kinds of event aiming to connect with people of far off areas and provide medical services at their doorsteps. This year over 200 doctors and medical students are contributing their   services during the various camps to be organised from 18th September to 22nd September 2021 in the rural and borders areas of Jammu /Kashmir & Ladakh.All the participants who had assembled at Jammu   on 17th September 2017 at Trikuta Yatri Niwas Amphalla Jammu were sent to different border areas of Jammu province aboard buses which were flagged off Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer.Speaking at the function, the Divisional Commissioner appreciated the Efforts of National Medicos Organisation (NMO) and others who have organised these camps in rural and border areas of Jammu and Kashmir to solve the basic health issues of people residing in rural/border areas at their doorsteps and helps in bridging the gaps by creating awareness in general public about the prevention of various diseases and their treatment. He specially recognised the efforts of doctors from various states of India who provided their free and self less services to people of Jammu and Kashmir. He also appreciated the role of doctors who helped the nation to come out of 1st and 2nd wave of covid pandemic and assured full help in smooth conduct of these medical camps.The camps under 7th Rishi Kashyap Swasthya Sewa Yatra are being organised under the supervision of Dr.Satish Midha all India President NMO; Dr. Vishmabhar Singh, all India General Secretary from Varanasi Dr. Sachidanand national organising secretary along with President  NMO J & K Dr. Sumeet Sabharwal; vice-President NMO J & K Dr. Sony Singh Samyal , joint secretary, NMO J&K Dr. Rachna Sabharwal and General Secretary NMO J & K Dr Deepak Kumar and Dr. Sandeep Dogra Treasurer NMO Jammu & Kashmir.
