To take first hand appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands, the District Administration Kulgam today organised Mega Block Diwas at 3 blocks of the district viz. Yaripora, D.H.Pora and Kulgam.During the public interaction programme, officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the people for timely redressal at all three venues.The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Middle School Yaripora, where he listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.The District Development Council Member, Yaripora, Anayat Ullah Rather, PRI members, ACR, ACD ACP,CMO, Executive Engineers  of R&B and Jal Shakti, DYS&SO, AD- FCS&CA and other officers besides  people from Yaripora and other blocks participated in this programme.

During the programme scores of delegations and individuals called on the apprised the DC about various issues with regard to roads, water, Healthcare services, Education, Irrigation and other individual issues. The DC gave patient hearing to the delegations, individuals and passed on-spot directions for redressal of various issues and grievances of immediate nature. He also assured the resolution of all other genuine grievances in a time bound manner.Highlighting the objective of the programme, the DC said that the aim and focus of these outreach programmes is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for accurate and on ground assessment and redressal of the same thereby providing governance to the public at their door steps.  Meanwhile Additional District Developmental Commissioner Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi remained available at Block Devsar and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Rather, listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal at Block D.H.Pora.
