In his routine briefing about Covid-19 status in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today said that new infections were reported from some pockets in district Budgam, however situation is under control.The DC said that the proactive measures enable us to effect timely disruption of spread. He once again appealed the masses to kindly follow CAB and ensure that all persons of the age group of 18 plus are vaccinated.He said that Vaccines are available, and stressed upon the target age group to get vaccinated as early as possible. The 18 to 44 years age group is getting vaccinated, efforts are on a war footing basis to get the remaining 32% vaccinated,  DC added.Regarding present status, the DC said that there are 110 active positive cases in the district; the positivity rate is below 5 percent while recovery rate stands at 99%.
