The 3rd- National Lok Adalats were held today across all districts of Kashmir, where thousands of cases were settled amicably and awards of compensation to victims of MACT and other disputes were distributed.The matters placed before the benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque bounce, bank matters, MACT, matrimonial, tenancy, electricity and pre-litigation matters, maintenance family disputes, civil disputes, land acquisition cases, revenue cases, traffic cases, cases under municipal act, grievances relating to women, children and disabled cases for settlement.In Srinagar, Mr. Mohammad Akram Chowdhary Pr. District & Sessions Judge Srinagar inaugurated the National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex Mominabad Srinagar, in which cases as per NALSA directions were fixed.Ten Benches were constituted in which Bench No.1 was comprising of  Special Judge Anti Corruption Mr. Jatinder Singh Jamwal and   Mr. Pradeep Kumar Presiding Officer MACT Court Srinagar. Bench No.2 was comprising of Principal  Judge Family Court ,Srinagar Ms. Masrat shaheen and Sh. Mohammad Ashraf Bhat 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar.  , Bench No. 3 was comprising of Ld. Special Judge Anti Corruption Kashmir, Srinagar Mr. C.L Bavoria and Ld. 3rd Additional Munsiff, Srinagar Ms. Shayesta Nazir , Bench no.4  was comprising of Additional District & Session judge, Srinagar Mr. Abdul Nasir and  Judge small Causes ,Srinagar Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi  , Bench No.5 was comprising of Chief judicial Magistrate Srinagar Mr. Farooq Ahmad Bhat And Sub Registrar ,Srinagar Mr. Touseef Ahmad Magrey , Bench No.6  was comprising of Forest Magistrate ,Srinagar Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Masoodi and City Jugde Mr. Ajay kumar  , Bench No. 7 was comprising of Special Mobile Magistrate TFC  Srinagar Mr. Ahsanu Ullah Parvez Malik and PT & E Magistrate Mr. Sunil Kumar Bench No. 8 was comprising of Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Srinagar Mr. Parvaiz Iqbal and Additional Special mobile Magistrate, Srinagar Mr. Shabir Ahmad Malik Bench No. 9 was comprising of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate (13th FC) Panthachowk ,Srinagar  Mr. Tabraiz Ahmad and President Bar Association Panthachowk (Member) Bench No. 10 was comprising of Principal District & Sessions judge ,Srinagar Mr. M.A Chowdhary and 1st Additional District & Sessions Judge ,Srinagar Mr. Ajay Kumar Gupta.Mr. Noor Mohammad Mir Secretary District Legal Services Authority Srinagar Coordinated the National Lok Adalat at Srinagar.A total number of 12,629 Cases were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which 12,003 Cases were settled. 

Beside this Rs 3,12,14,411/-was awarded as compensation by MACT Court Srinagar and Rs4,19,56,719 has been recovered as settlement amount by Additional District Bank Judge Srinagar and fine of Rs 47,94,250 has been recovered by different Courts, and in addition to this  Rs2,31,79,903/- has been settled by different courts in Srinagar. Total Settled amount in district Srinagar is 10, 11, 45,283/-In Baramulla, as part of ongoing "Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsav", District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committees today organized National Lok Adalat across the district. At Baramulla, it was organized at District court complex Baramulla and at concerned subordinate courts at tehsil levels.The Lol Adalat were held under the Chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Baramulla Mohammad Yousuf Wani who inaugurated the event at the District Court Complex in presence of Secretary DLSA Mir Sayeem Quyoom.The lok Adalats were comprised of 14 benches in which 2351 different cases/ matters were taken up, out of which 1792 cases/ matters were settled amicably on spot. Furthermore, Rs 2.11 crore was realised as settlement amount comprising compensation amount of Rs. 3375000/  in MACT cases whereas an amount of Rs 10279581/  in bank recovery cases. Besides an amount of Rs 858610/ was realised on account of composition in traffic offences and Rs 3370000/ was realised in matrimonial cases. Moreover, an amount of Rs 3310000 was realised in N.I Act cases.In Bandipora, A special  National Lok Adalat was held at District Court Complex, Bandipora under the chairmanship of  DLSA, Principal District and Session Judge  Mohammad Ibrahim Wani in which 385 cases of different nature were taken up for settlement, of which, 818  cases were settled amicably.A settlement amount of Rs 20.04 lac was realized as settlement amount at the spot.According to the statement issued by the District Legal Services Authority Bandipora, the first bench of the Lok Adalat was presided over by Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandipora Abdul Qayoom Mir while Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi acted as member of the bench while the second bench was presided over by Sub Judge Fariqa Nazir while Towfel Ahmad Mir acted as member of the bench. 

The third bench was presided over by Munsiff Zahoor Ahmad Ganaie at Sumbal while Advocate Tasleema Jan acted as member.Officials said 1182 cases were taken up in the said National Lok Adalat out of which 818 Cases were settled amicably & settled amount of Rs 2003700.In Kupwara, 3871 cases of different natures were put up, out of which 3769 cases were amicably settled and an amount of about Rs.2.30 crore was realized.A total of seven benches were constituted by chairman DLSA, Mr. Tasleem Arief, (Principal District & Sessions Judge Kupwara) across the district including Sessions court Kupwara, Sub Judge/ Secretary DLSA Kupwara, Sub Judge Court Kupwara, Munsif Court Kupwara, CJM Handwara, Munsif Handwara, Sub Judge Court Trehgam, Munsif Court Sogam, Kralpora and Tangdar.The Lok Adalats were held under the instructions of National Legal Services Authority of India and supervision of JK legal Services Authority.In Ganderbal, it was held under the Chairmanship of Ms. Shazia Tabasum Chairperson District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal.The function was inaugurated at Court Complex Ganderbal by Chairperson District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge), Ganderbal Ms. Shazia Tabasum in presence of Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal, Ms. Tabasum.Four benches were constituted for the amicable settlement of cases, wherein First Bench was presided by Ms. Shazia Tabasum Chairperson District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal and Ms. Tabasum Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal as Bench Member, the Second Bench was presided by “Ms. Umi Kuloom” Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal  and Adv S.M Mustehseen as Bench Member, the Third Bench was presided by Ms. Fakhur Un Nissa Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Ganderbal and Advocate Ms. Chesfeeda as Bench Member, the Fourth Bench was presided by Shri Kartar Singh Munsiff/JMIC Kangan and Advocate Jamal Ud Din as Bench member in Munsiff Court Complex Kangan. “Ms Tabasum” Secretary District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal made all arrangements and preparations for the said National Lok Adalat.

Overall 584 cases were taken up for settlement out of which 355 cases were amicably settled/Compromised on spot. Rs.27750/-(Rupees twenty seven thousand seven hundred and fifty only) was recovered as fine for violations under different statutes, Rs.6043983/-(Rupees sixty lakh forty three thousand nine hundred eighty three only) was awarded as Bank recovery amount, in other civil cases an amount of Rs1054546/- was settled and Rs 2450,000/-( Rupees twenty four lakh fifty thousand only) was awarded in MACT cases.In Kulgam. A National Lok Adalat was held today in District Court Complex Kulgam, under the chairmanship of Pr. District & Sessions Judge kulgam Tahir khurshid  Raina (Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam). Five Benches were constituted Three at Head quarter & one each at D.H.pora and Qazigund. Bench No. 1 was Presided by  Mr .Tahir Khurshid Raina Chairman DLSA Kulgam (Ld. Pr. District and sessions judge Kulgam),assisted by  Mr. Som Lal ( Ld. Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Kulgam and  Mr. Mohd Shafi Bhat (Bar President Kulgam). Bench No. 02 was presided by Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Zargar (Ld.Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam), assisted by Advocate Adil Hamid Lone (Panel Lawyer). Bench No.03 was Presided by Miss Mehreen Mushtaq (Sub Judge/ Secretary DLSA Kulgam), assisted by Mr. Vishal Bharti( Ld. Munsiff/JMIC Kulgam) and Advocate Arsalna Mubarak ( Panel Lawyer). Bench No.04 was Presided by Mr. Altaf Hussain Mir (Ld. Munsiff/JMIC D.H.Pora), assisted by Mr. Farooq Ahmad (Bar President D.H.Pora) and Bench No.05 was Presided by Mr. Karan Bijyal (Ld. Munsiff /JMIC Qazigund), assisted by Mr. M. D. Shawal (Bar President Qazigund).In National Lok Adalat out of 858 cases of various nature, 628 cases were amicably settled. An amount of Rs.8415850/= was realized in different cases.In Shopian, The 3rd National Lok Adalat was held today under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Shopian, Riaz-Ul-Haq Mirza (Principle District and Session Judge Shopian)  at District Court Complex,Shopian.On the occasion, 03 Benches were constituted who took up the cases for amicable settlement.A total of 463 Cases were taken up in the said Lok Adalat out of which 406 cases have been settled by Mediation and reconciliation with a settlement amount of Rs.9832048/=has been recovered as fine and same has been deposited in Government Treasury. Members of Bar,Revenue Officers,Bank Managers and people at large participated in the said National Lok Adalat after observing all SOPs of the Covid-19 pandemic.
