District Development Council Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal today reviewed the action plan, implementation and execution of works under District Capex budget plan for current financial Year (works), here at a meeting held in the Hall of DC office.Detailed deliberations were held in the meeting regarding Block wise and work wise progress. Each BDO submitted details of the works approved, estimates received, estimates pending with reasons, AAs accorded, tenders floated and works started on the ground.The chair was informed that a total of 1460 works were approved for the district under Capex budget for current financial year, of which estimates/ technical sanction have been received for 1156 works, while 720 works have been accorded administrative approval and for 455 works tenders have been floated till date.The Chairman also reviewed the status of MGNREGA, PMAY and other schemes being implemented by the Rural Development Department.The Chair was informed that 11412 works were approved under MGNREGA for the current financial year out of which 40% works have been taken up and are at different stages of completion. Out of 18.86 lacs approved PDs 37% PDs have been generated so far.

Regarding PMAY it was informed that 12154 cases of identified eligible beneficiaries have been sanctioned out of which 5959 have been completed which is 49% in terms of achievement.The Chairman urged the BDOs and Engineering department to work in synergy and gear up the men and machinery for coming up to the expectations of the people. He informed the officers that corrigendum for the approved works shall only be proposed on merits and with proper approval of Gram Sabha. He also directed the RDD Officials to deliver the public services in a transparent and efficient manner so that benefit of the schemes could reach the eligible beneficiaries in time and development is possible in each and every corner of the district. Vice Chairperson DDC, Sangeeta Rani, while addressing the meeting, stressed on early tendering of the approved works for their timely completion. Besides, asked the BDOs to participate personally in the Gram Sabha for better understanding of issues raised by the public . The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, ACD Doda Mohammad Idrees Lone, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ashfaq Ahmad Khanji, DIO Doda, BDOs, Xen REW, AD Planning DC office. Besides, other officials of the RDD department attended the meeting.
