In pursuance of State Government’s One Time Settlement scheme for regularisation of unauthorised connections and recovery of arrears on account of water supply and sewerage charges, the Municipal Corporation urged the consumers to get their such connections regularised. Elaborating the One Time Settlement scheme, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Aashika Jain said that under the domestic category, Rs.200 per connection would be charged as one-time fee for regularisation of water supply and sewerage connection for plot measuring up to 125 sq. yd while Rs.500 per connection for plot having size between 125 and 250 sq. yd. Whereas, Rs. 1000 per connection would be charged for over 250 sq. yd. plot.
While in Commercial/Institutional category connections, the Commissioner said that Rs. 1000 per connection would be charged for plot measuring up to 250 sq. yd. and Rs.2000 per connection for plot having size of more than 25 sq. yd. She said that no penalty would be charged if the said fee is deposited within three months from the date of notification. After the deposit of the fee within stipulated time, She further pointed out that no other charges, like road cutting, connection fees and security, will be chargeable.No interest and penalty on arrears of water supply and sewerage charges/tax/fees would be charged if the principal amount payable on the date of notification is paid within a period of three months from the date of issue of notification. Also, no interest/penalty would be charged on depositing the balance amount in one go within three month after the issuance of notification, which was issued on August 25, 2021.
