DDC Samba Anuradha Gupta reviews achievements of Banks, line Departments at DLRC meeting

District Development Commissioner  Samba Anuradha Gupta today chaired a meeting of bankers and line departments   to review the achievements made under various financial sector schemes.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand; GM Industries Surinder Sharma; LDM SBI Anil Mehta; officers of government departments and representatives of other banks.During the meeting, the LDM informed that 100% financial targets have been achieved under Prime Minister’s New Social Security schemes including PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY, while district has reached to 87% digital mode of payment with opening of new saving and other  accounts. It was also informed that 673 financial literacy camps were organised in the district and 6367 cases were sanctioned under Mudra Yojana.The achievement report of banks included sanctioning of 100% kissan credits cards among eligible farmers with sanctioned amount of Rs 8818.19 lakh, 50.38% CD ratio, 43.03% priority sector advances against the  target of 40% besides providing Rs 330 crore credit flow to women beneficiaries under different government sponsored schemes, which is 11% of the total advances against 5% of national benchmark.The District Development Commissioner appreciated the efforts of banks and allied sectors for improving credit advances in the priority sectors. She directed the concerned agencies to further enhance the CD ratio and hold digital literacy camps at weekly block divas meetings.The DDC exhorted public sector departments to achieve the set target and improve credit flow in the priority sectors like agriculture. She also laid emphasis upon disseminating information about self-employment schemes among the youth like PMEGP, NRLM, JKEGP, Mumkin and other youth employment oriented schemes.Chairperson DLRC also stressed on imploring different avenues for promoting rural economic activities including traditional handicrafts and handloom.
