While the factions led by the Former CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Partap Singh Bajwa locked horns over the poll debacle in Punjab, the senior most PPCC Vice President Brahm Mohindra has advice the both to call truce and show solidarity with the High Command.“the Congress has seen a worst ever defeat. It’s not a time for blame game and to fight, but it’s time to get united. Its payback time for every congressmen, thus all the Congress leaders should keep the local issues aside and should express solidarity with the AICC President Sonia Gandhi”, said Brahm Mohindra.
However, Mohindra admitted that the in Punjab the congressmen fail to capitalize on the anti-incumbency against the ruling SAD-BJP alliance. “It’s a collective failure, that congress failed to propagate the UPA achievements and highlight the misrule of Akalis, which led to rise of Aam Aadmi party in Punjab”, he said.Mohindra, a fifth time MLA, said that at this juncture when the party has scored lowest tally in history of Congress in Lok Sabha, every congressmen should put extra effort to fight the crisis, which party is facing.“I also advice the Captain Amarinder singh to show leadership and ask his group members to call an immediate truce and work for the betterment of party by reaching out masses”, he added.
