Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today laid foundation stones and inaugurated various developmental projects amounting to Rs. 52.57 crore in Pangna and Bagshaid areas of Karsog Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district.He laid foundation stones of Sub- Tehsil office building of Rs. 1.89 crore at Pangna and Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS) Behi-Sarhi-Bhajo phase-I of Rs. 10 crore and LWSS Bithari Khud to Churag, Bakhrot of Rs. 4.95 crore.He laid foundation stone of Bagshaid-Shanogi, Saalag, Kund, Basta road to be constructed at cost of Rs. 20.20 crore and LWSS Bigan Khad to Bagshaid of Rs. 2.07 crore. He also laid foundation stone of LWSS Kanda, Khahnu, Manola, Narash to be completed with an outlay of Rs. 5.82 crore and building of Government Senior Secondary School Kheel of Rs. 3.55 crore. He inaugurated Kamru-Khadan road of Rs. 3.94 crore and Bagshaid-Sheri road completed at a cost of Rs. 3.94 crore.While addressing a gathering at Pangna, Chief Minister said that 39 projects were being constructed by spending Rs. 150.42 crore by Public Works Department in Karsog area and projects worth Rs. 47.83 crore had been completed and dedicated to the people of the area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that even after ruling for 50 years the Congress Government did not perform as per expectation for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society, whereas during the tenure of BJP government, the state had witnessed unprecedented welfare of these sections He said that the age limit for women to avail pension benefit had been reduced to 65 years while for senior male citizens to 70 years by present state government. Various sections of the society were being benefitted from Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Ujjwala Yojna, Himcare Yojna and Shagun Yojna etc.Earlier, Chief Minister paid obeisance at Mamleshwar Mahadev Temple in Karsog and also listened to the grievances of the people.He announced to open Sabzi Mandi Kendra in Kelodhar, Veterinary dispensary at Kunnu, Sub Health Centre at Kufridhar and Section office Jal Shakti Vibhag at Kaiwalidhar. He also announced to provide Rs. 10 lakh each for construction of buildings for eight newly created panchayats in Karsog area and starting of three new trades in ITI Karsog on the demand of the people of the area. He said that possibilities would be explored to start classes in Sundernagar of polytechnic institute Karsog, if land was not available at Karsog. He announced Rs. 20 lakh for Press Club, Karsog.He announced to open Sub Health Centre at Bahi-Sarhi, setting up of chilling plant at Pangna and upgradation of Primary School Mashog. He announced to provide Rs. 10 lakh each for three roads in Pangna under Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.MLA Karsog Hira Lal welcomed to the Chief Minister.The Senior BJP leaders of the area were also present on the occasion.
