Chandigarh Polytechnic College, Gharuan in association with Punjab State Board of Technical Education &Industrial Training today announced “Super Achievers Scholarship” forthe JET-2013 toppers.Launching the “Super Achievers Scholarship” program, TechnicalEducation & Industry Minister, Punjab, Mr. Anil Joshi said that 100%Fee would be waived off for the JET-2013 toppers under this scholarship. Calling upon the other educational institutions to comeforward to support the meritorious students, the Minister said thatPunjab Government was fully committed to support talented youth opting for Technical Education. On this occasion Mr. Joshi announced that 1percent quota would be reserved for single girl child and victims ofAids and cancer studying in the government technical educational institutes in the state.Under the scholarship program, Chandigarh Polytechnic College would invite online applications from the students who have appeared in JET-2013 . 

The registration scholarship program would be made on the Website of Chandigarh Polytechnic College and top 50 students chosen from the merit list drawn of the total applied candidates would be entitled for “Super Achiever Scholarship”.  The other benefits that would be offered to the students under the “Super Achievers” program would include Placements in top Multi-Nationals, Higher Education Opportunities at Chandigarh University after completion of the course. Besides that the expenses meant for Course Books & College uniform would also be borne by Chandigarh Polytechnic College.  The classes would be held eparately for the 50 selected meritorious students and Research based training as per the Industry requirements would be imparted to them. In yet another Scholarship policy sponsored by Government to provide equal opportunity for the underprivileged yet talented and brilliant students who have zeal to study, Mr Joshi said that financial assistance would be provided to Schedule Caste students whose parent’s annual income was less than Rs. 2 lakhs. 

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University, Gharuan said that “The placement prospects for Diploma Engineering students was equally bright as Degree Engineering students , which can be noted by the fact that more than 20 companies from perse fields have selected a total of 250 CPC students during various placement drives. Dr. R.S.Bawa, Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University. Said that as a Corporate we have Social Responsibility towards society and to perform that  we want to attract brilliant and talented students through “Super Achievers Scholarship” program and an amount of Rs. 45 lakh has been earmarked for the “Super Achievers Scholarship” program. Prominent who were present on the occassion included Mr. B. Purusartha Director Technical Education and Mr. Mohanbir Singh, Additional Director.
