Vice Chairman, Himachal Road Transport Corporation Kewal Singh Pathania called on Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh here last evening and thanked him for sanctioning 18 hand-pumps and two tube-wells for Changer area of Shahpur Vidhan Sabha segment. Shri Pathania apprised the Chief Minister of the difficulties being faced by the Science students of Government College, Shahpur due to non availability of Science Lab and urged the Chief Minister for the same as the portion of the building which was to house the Science Lab was given to Central University. He requested the Chief Minister to make temporary arrangements for the Science students to undertake the practicals in Science Lab of Senior Secondary School at Shahpur, to which the Chief Minister gave his consent so that the students may not suffer due to the same and also assured for new building of the college.
Vice Chairman said that the Chief Minister, on his request to open Tehsil Welfare Office, Shahpur to facilitate the pensioners and general public, had assured to open the same in near future. He said that Chief Minister has also assured to start work on Khouli (5MW) hydel Project soon. Besides, the Chief Minister has also assured to convert the ground of Government Senior Secondary School, Rait into stadium to facilitate the students. Shri Kewal Singh Pathania thanked the Chief Minister for agreeing upon his requests which would go a long way in benefiting the people of the area.
