DDC Kulgam reviews physical, financial status of work projects of PHE, I&FC

Reviews functioning of Agriculture & Allied sectors in a separate meeting

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting here to review the progress of ongoing projects under State, District CAPEX, NABARD and others schemes in PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control sectors.The DDC took project wise review of all the sectors and stressed on the concerned departments to expedite the pace of work to ensure  timely completion of all these work projects witin set timelines.During the meeting bottle necks hampering the speedy completion of several work projects of PHE were also discussed.The DDC directed the concerned to remove all bottlenecks which are impeding the process of completion of several work projects.He also set timelines for several work  projects  of PHE and directed the concerned to expedite execution process and complete these work projects within set timeline so that these WSS projects can be dedicated to people.

The DC also directed the concerned officers of Irrigation department to establish control room to ensure irrigation facilities to farmers.The meeting was attended by ACR, Executive Engineers from PHE, Irrigation and Flood control department and other concerned officers.Later, the DDC chaired a separate meeting of officers of Agriculture and allied sectors and took a detailed review of functioning of these departments.He also took a detailed review of implementation of various schemes.The officers from Horticulture, Animal and sheep Husbandry, Sericulture gave a detailed brief of achievements and functioning of their department.The DDC instructed officers to disseminate information regarding modern farm interventions among agrarains  to double crop productivity. He also stressed to propagate and expand organic farm culture and provide all possible support to farmers to flourish organic produce in the district.The meeting was attended by ACR, CHO, CAHO, DSO, CSHO, DFO and other concerned officers.
