The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad today convened a meeting here to review  Covid-19 mitigation measures in the district.The DC on the occasion said that the administration is making all efforts to augment health care services to ensure that the patients are treated well. He said that the district administration is working on war footing basis to break the chain of transmission of Corona virus in the district and necessary measures are being taken in this regard.The DC stressed on increasing the pace of vaccination of both above and below 45 years age group to ensure vaccination of all in a time bound manner.He said  that Panchayat level  Covid Care Centres  will be considered functional  only after having all facilities and minimum 2 Patients undergoing treatment there.  Dr. Owais said that timely intervention and effective management of Containment Zones is essential to control Covid-19 infection from further spread.He stressed on enforcement of Covid appropriate behavior and  urged people to go for vaccination without any fear and should not pay heed to rumours. He further said rumour mongering would be dealt strictly under law.Nodal Officer Covid-19 Mehraj Wani, District Social Welfare Officer, Deputy Chief Education Officer Bandipora,  Coordinator Asha Workers,  field functionaries including Doctors and lectures attended the meeting.
