DC Ramban appreciates public representatives for motivating public to take vaccination

77 positive cases reported, 192 recovered today

Ramban administration has established 48 Panchayat level Covid Care Centers while the rest are being covered on war footing, said Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam, here today.He was briefing media persons about Covid Management and mitigation measures taken by the District Administration to prevent spread of Covid inflection in the district.The DC appreciated the public representatives for motivating age appropriate people to take Covid vaccination. He said that house to house vaccination drives have achieved tangible results and 67% targeted people have been vaccinated in the district.The DC said that aggressive Covid testing has been carried to detect the cases and contain the spread. “The tests were  conducted at construction sites of local as well as national projects and in rural areas of the district to keep a tab on positive cases and isolate them. “Over 1100   samples of both RTPCR and RAT have been collected in a single day by the health workers in the district,”.  Total 77 positive cases have been reported and 192 people recovered today in the district,   he added.The DC said that as a result of aggressive Covid testing a total 2785 positive cases were reported, out of which 1855 recovered fully since March 1, 2021, unfortunately 28 persons were lost. He said that the rest 902 positive patients are under treatment in different Covid Care Centres as well as under observations in home isolation.

He said that 5 bedded Covid care facilities with the provision of medical oxygen gas c besides other necessary items have been established in 48 out of total 143 panchayats of the district. He said that all 143 panchayats will be covered on war footing.The DC said that civil and allied works of the 1500 LPM medical oxygen plant in District Hospital has been completed and an oxygen generation machine will be installed soon. He said that work of Medical Oxygen Gas Pants to be started soon in Banihal and Batote hospitals. He further said that a 300 LPM Medical Oxygen Gas Plant has also been proposed by the district administration for CHC Gool.The DC also thanked the Government for sanctioning an additional 1000 LPM medical oxygen gas plant for DH Ramban under PM care fund. He said that it would help to cater proposed 100 to 250 augmented beds capacities in DH Ramban.The Labour department has transferred over Rs 1.68 crore as first installment of Rs 1000 per worker through DBT mode in the bank accounts of 16868   construction workers, registered with Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB), he informed.The DC informed that the labour department has already directed to renew all remaining labour cards of registered construction workers to provide them financial assistance   in wake of Corona curfew in the district.
