Anti-Terrorism Day observed at Central University of Punjab

The NSS Cell of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) observed ‘Anti-Terrorism Day’ on May 21 to spread the message of global peace, non-violence, humanity and unity among university students, employees and society. On this occasion, CUPB faculty, staff, students and NSS Volunteers under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari took ‘Anti-Terrorism Pledge’ to fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values. In view of the current COVID situation the programme was organized on a virtual platform.While administering the Anti-Terrorism Pledge, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice Chancellor, stated that the purpose of observing this day is to honour the sacrifices made by our soldiers who fought against terrorism and to pay a tribute to those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks. He expressed belief that education is the only way to address the problems of the youth and assured that CUPB will provide wider opportunities of education to develop responsible citizens who will contribute to establish global peace.During this programme Shri Kanwal Pal Singh Mundra, the Registrar, Prof. Vinod K Garg, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. R.K. Wusirika, Dean Incharge Academics, Prof. S.K. Bawa, Director IQAC, Prof. Monisha Dhiman, NSS Coordinator and Shri Chandan Mittal, Deputy Finance Officer also took Anti-Terrorism Pledge. Faculty, staff members, NSS Volunteers and students of the university attended this programme through online mode.
