DM Kishtwar inspects COVID care centres in Palmar-Chatroo areas

District Magistrate Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today took the first hand appraisal of steps taken to ensure the safety of people amid COVID19 pandemic and to review the enforcement of containment measures in the Palmar and Chatroo areas.He also inspected the designated COVID Care centres established at Palmar and Chatroo area and took stock of facilities there.He was accompanied by the SDM Chatroo, BDO Mughal Maidan, BMO Chattroo besides other officers of the Health department.He inspected the enforcement of corona curfew particularly in the micro containment zones notified after many persons were found COVID positive in these areas during the random sampling and Testing conducted by district administration.DM directed BMO Chatroo and other Health Officers to accelerate vaccination in the area by conducting Vaccination drives in camp mode.During the visit, the DM also called upon people to stay indoors and follow the corona curfew in letter and spirit. He also passed a slew of directions to the SDM Chatroo to ensure that no violations of corona curfew till May 17 is allowed.Meanwhile, he also visited PHC Chatroo and interacted with the staff on duty and enquired about the pace of vaccination and testing drives in the area.
