One of the students at LPU, Geetika Jaswal, pursuing B.Sc. (Airlines, Tourism and Hospitality) programme, has recently joined University of Fraser Valley (UFV) in Canada. Geetika has commenced her LPU connected new academic journey in Canada to pursue international education and to achieve her goals. Even the CORONA pandemic could not impede her aimed international study programme. She is presently in Canada under LPU’s unique ‘Credit Transfer Programme’.Geetika Jaswal has joined a near 50 years old foreign university-UFV, which aims to be a ‘House of Transformation’ for its students. The UFV has prestigious provincial, national, international accreditations, approvals and rankings. Through LPU’s credit transfer programme, she has also saved the first two years’ foreign university fees by studying the first half of her programme at LPU. Otherwise, these two- year fees, too, had to be paid by her in dollars. Additional Director at LPU’s Division of International Affairs Mr Aman Mittal shares: “Under our credit transfer opportunity, a student can study part of the programme (first two years) at LPU campus. 

The student can then complete the rest of his/her degree at LPU’s foreign partner university, be it of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or any other country opted from our listed partner universities. Such a student will get the final degree from LPU’s partner foreign university.” Mr Mittal further shared: “COVID-19 pandemic has been curtailing this dream of students since the very beginning of 2020. In spite of this all, our team at the Division is working hard in making able students reach their destination. Among many other studying happily with our foreign partner universities across the world, Geetika is also such an example.”Geetika shares:  “Ever aiming big, and learning much about top service industry, smart work, team & time management skills at LPU; I am presently a global student in Canada. This credit goes to my alma mater LPU for its unique Credit Transfer Programme, which fulfils the dreams of students like me, and that too in a very economical manner.”In fact, many Indian students aspire to pursue their higher studies abroad.
