Punjab government has assisted youngsters of the state in getting jobs and self-employment during the last four years. It was stated by the Minister of State for Printing and Stationery Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharmsot while handing over appointment letters to two youths as clerks on compassionate grounds here today. Mr. Dharmsot said that the state government has facilitated more than 16 lakh youth for obtaining jobs and self-employment under the 'Ghar-Ghar Rozgar' scheme during the last four years. He informed that the government has also launched "Connect Your Roots" program to reunite Punjabi NRI youths with the state.The Cabinet Minister congratulated the youngsters on receiving the appointment letter and asked them to fulfill their responsibilities with utmost sincerity and diligence. ''Punjab Government is planning to provide employment to the lakhs of youth in public & private sector and self-employment to during the ongoing year. For this purpose, 22 District Level Employment and Business Bureaus have also been set up,'' he added.
