GDC Baramulla Facilitates COVID-19 Vaccination Drive

The NSS Units of Government Degree College Baramulla facilitated the COVID-19 vaccination drive initiated by Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla in the college campus on April 03, 2021. The drive was meant to vaccinate the college officials above 45 years of age. The first shot was given to Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Principal of the college followed by Prof. Shagufta Nasreen, Dr. A. R. Malik, and Prof. A. M. The NSS Units of Government Degree College Baramulla facilitated the COVID-19 vaccination drive initiated by Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla in the college campus on April 03, 2021. The drive was meant to vaccinate the college officials above 45 years of age. The first shot was given to Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Principal of the college followed by Prof. Shagufta Nasreen, Dr. A. R. Malik, and Prof. A. M. Chalkoo, among others.On the occasion, Prof. Lone welcomed the officials of the GMC, Baramulla for coming over to the college and rendering their professional services (vaccinating the college officials) at our doorsteps. He also impressed upon the college officials, falling in the aforesaid age bracket, to come forward and get vaccinated in order to boost their immunity against the deadly virus. Prof. Lone also stressed that other age groups, including college officials and students be also vaccinated at the earliest.Others who were present on the occasion and facilitated the daylong drive included NSS Program Officers, Prof. Arshad Ahmad Yatoo, Dr. Kaiser Ahmad Dar, and Dr. Syed Masarat Geelani besides NSS volunteers of the college.The drive culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. A. R. Malik, Secretary, Staff Council of the college.
