Basant Bahar Flower and Plants Festival organized by  the Guru Nanak Dev University was concluded here today with the massage of  love and respect nature. A large number of subject experts and students participated.The HMV college, Jalandhar was judged First with 8 Prizes in different category of plants  and  Khalsa College of  Education, GT Road , Amritsar and Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, GT Road, Amritsar  both remained Second  in these competitions . In Flower petals Rangoli competitions APJ College of Fine Ats Jalandhar Judged First and Sri Guru Teg Bahadur  College of Education got Second prize in Rangoli compition. In Artificial,  APJ college of Fine Arts was Judged first. Other winners of flower show was K.M.V College Jalandhar  and Khalsa college for women Amritsar,  Earlier, this event was formally inaugurated by the Vice- Chancellor  Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu. The event received participation from students of different schools, colleges & universities from in and around Punjab for competitions in Spring   flowers/Plants/ Rangoli.    Dr. J S Bilga, Horticulture consultant thanked all for their cooperation to make this event a success.Dr. Jatinder Kaur Head and Prof of Botanical & Environmental Sciences and Dr. Rajinder Kaur of Botanical & Environmental Sciences The function concluded with the prize distribution by Dr. Avinash Nagpal, Botanical & Environmental Sciences Department of the University.
