Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam convened a meeting of officers in his office to review the functioning of Revenue Department, here today. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; ACR, Dhirendra Sharma; SDM, Gool and Banihal, besides Tehsildars attended the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner directed SDMs and Tehsildars to expedite writing of Jamabandis and Girdawaris as well as disposal of land acquisition cases and public grievances.   He urged the officers to speed up geo-tagging of Wakf/Auqaf properties to complete the same within the stipulated timeline.The SDMs were advised to organize meetings with subordinate sectoral officers, besides conducting frequent visits to different areas in their respective jurisdictions to resolve public issues. The issues of land identification for various Government offices, educational institutions and projects at Ramban, Ramsoo, Banihal and  Gool  was also discussed threadbare.Tehsildar, Batote was directed to revisit the locations to identify the land for the construction of Government Degree College Batote.Officers also highlighted various issues including shortage of revenue staff including Girdawars which is impending progress on various developmental projects and schemes to which the DC assured necessary action.
