Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Satish Kumar Sharma, today flagged off two Awareness Vans to disseminate awareness regarding water conservation and preservation.While speaking on the occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that district administration in collaboration with the Jal Shakti Department and other allied departments has decided to generate massive awareness among the masses about the importance of freshwater and preservation of this precious gift of nature.These Vans will cover all the 20 blocks of the district in next one week as a part of Celebration of World Water Week commencing from 16th March to 22nd March, 2021. CPO Jammu, Joginder Katoch; SE Jal Shakti, Sumit Puri besides other concerned were present.It is pertinent to mention here that World Water Day would be celebrated on 22nd March, 2021.He appealed the people to actively participate in such campaigns and play a constructive role in water conservation and preservation by ensuring judicious use of this valuable gift of nature.
