The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today flagged of a vehicle equipped with all requisite publicity material including banners/ Placards depicting and demonstrating necessary instructions/ precautions under the theme ‘Save water save generation’ from DC Office here.The rally was organized by the Department of Jal Shakti Budgam. The vehicle shall carry out announcements across the district for a weeklong period commencing from 16th of March and culminating on 22nd of March, 2021.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that this shall emerge as a major initiative towards raising mass awareness among people about the kind of precautions they need to take in ensuring use of safe drinking water.He urged upon the masses that for a clean and safe water supply we as a whole need to keep the main source clean, pollution free and safe including its surroundings. He said if we save the resources we will save future generations from hazardous effects.He said this week shall prove a revolutionary step in the interest of common peoples benefits.Earlier SE Hydraulic, Siraj U Din Shah gave a detailed preview of weeks engagements. He said the aim and objective of carrying out such awareness initiatives is to spread the message among common people about how to preserve and keep resources clean and safe.SE on the occasion appealed to the common masses to use drinking water judiciously and cautiously and take it as a precious gift from almighty as it is the main source of mankinds survival.Among others, SE Hydraulics Budgam Siraj U Din Shah and other concerned officers/officials were present on the occasion.
