DDC reviews developmental projects under power sector at Budgam

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today took a detailed review of developmental projects under the power sector currently under operation through various agencies across the district.During the meeting the DDC impressed upon the officers/engineers to get the pending works executed and simultaneously ensure that they are completed within the fixed timeline. He categorically reiterated that no extension in time limit shall be considered keeping in view the importance of projects besides action shall follow against those found resorting to leniency or tardy approach.Earlier during the meeting, Ex. Engineer KPDCL Budgam, Mohammad Hussain Shah in detail presented the status of progress made in improvement of HT transmission lines, erection of electric poles, status of sub stations, re-conducting of damaged lines.He said, in order to improve the transmission scenario, 800 electric poles are being re-erected in place of damaged one and till date 300 poles have already been re-erected, in addition a 60 km conductor is being received and will be installed to replace the damaged lines.He also said that during B2V1 the department had identified 129 works on priority across the district of these 115 have already been completed. 

Similarly the process is on to pace up the completion of works identified under B2V2 and Block Diwas initiatives.Regarding the projects taken in hand under PMDPR (rural) Ex. Engineer STD-II informed that out of 10 projects 7 projects have already been completed and completion work on the remaining 3 projects is in full swing and the same is expected by the end of April 2021.It was also given out work under execution through Electric project division left for upgradation and installation of 10 KVA Transformer for receiving station Chrari-Sharief, receiving station Choon and receiving station Ranger Chadoora is in progress and full installation is expected by ending March, 2021.With regard to construction of 1x50 MVA 132/33 Kv Grid Station at Nowbugh Chadoora Budgam, the Ex. Engineer TLMD said that there were some bottlenecks however with the intervention of District Administration matter has been sorted out, process of erection of 67 towers stands completed.He said barring some minor works the project almost completed and expected to be operational very soon.The meeting among others was attended by Ex. Engineers of TLMD IV Pampore, Project wing left Srinagar Budgam, STD II Srinagar, SOS Srinagar Budgam and TLCD I Bemina besides CPO Budgam and other concerned.
