The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today finalized the arrangements put in place for the upcoming celebration of Mehraj-ul-Alam (saw) in the district.The meeting discussed issues particularly availability of essentials like drinking water, electricity, sanitation inside and around worship places, Khanqahs, Shrines where auspicious occasion of Shabe Mehraj and following programmes are being observed.Speaking in a meeting of officers, the DDC directed all concerned officers to ensure that their respective tasks are done with the highest degree of responsibility.The DDC directed PDD, PHE departments to ensure that smoothe power and water supply is ensured for the devotees during the period. In addition PDD was also directed to install halogen lights at the worship places where huge gatherings are expected.ARTO Budgam was directed to ensure sufficient availability of public transport to enable the worshippers and devotees to reach the destination to and fro without any inconvenience.The meeting among others was attended by SE Hydraulics, SDM Beerwah, Tehsildar Magam, Exen PDD, DHO Budgam, representative from Fire and Emergence, Executive officer MC Magam and others concerned.
