Vice Chairperson J & K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB), Dr. Hina Shaif Bhat, today inaugurate 7 day exhibition here under National Schedule Caste Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH).District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria; Secretary / CEO KVIB, Rashid Ahmed Qadri and senior Officers of KVIB and line Departments were also present.Twenty-five SC/ ST unit holders shall exhibit and sell their products in the said exhibition. A successful entrepreneur Geeta Bhagat also participated in the inaugurated function. Speaking on the occasion Dr.Hina Shaif  Bhat informed that NSSH has been introduced by Ministry of Micro Small and medium Enterprises Government of India to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem among SC ST workforce. She advised the concerned department agencies to collaborate and ensure that benefits of various schemes meant for under privilege class trickle down to the deserving people.

Lauding the efforts of J&K KVIB in employment generation, the DDC Samba felt that there is a need to utilize energy and enthusiasm of educated unemployment in establishment of micro industrial ventures he further stated that organizing such exhibition events shall be helpful in broadening the industrial base by creation of new MSME unitesIn his address, Secretary CEO J&K KVIB stated that main aim of NSSH scheme is to enhance the share of SC ST MSMEs in public procurement up to 4%, which is currently less than 1%. He underscored the need for active involvement of line departments and banks to encourage and extend hand holding support to aspiring SC/ST entrepreneurs for establishment of micro industries. He further stated that this exhibition shall provide a platform to SC ST MSME unit holders to exhibit and sell their products at reasonable and profitable rates.Earlier, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat inspected all the stalls erected in the exhibition where SC ST MSMEs have displayed their exhibits to showcase and sell them.The products displayed include, Readymade garments, Food items, Sanitary fitting, Furniture, Shoed, Track suits and some SC/ST institutions.
