While addressing the concluding session of State BJP Executive Committee meeting at Dharamshala in Kangra district, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government has launched about fifty new schemes for welfare of the every section of the society and development of every area of the State.Chief Minister said that the Covid-19 pandemic apart from affecting the world economy also affected the organisational works of the Party. He said that now steps would be taken to work with greater dedication to strengthen the party at the grass-root level. He said that credit of landslide victory of BJP in Lok Sabha elections, by-elections to Vidhan Sabha and thereafter victory of BJP supported candidates in PRIs and ULBs elections was possible due to the hard-work and dedication of the party workers.Jai Ram Thakur said that the ‘Digital India’ concept of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 came as a blessing during the lockdown due to covid-19. He said that all the major meetings, decisions and strategies were chalked out in virtual meetings and discussions. He said that Government and Party also ensured effective use of the technology to reach out to the party workers, beneficiaries and the common man. He said that every party worker ensured that the needy in the country as well as State gets all possible help during the lockdown.  He said that lakhs of face masks, food kits and sanitizers were distributed to the needy.He also appreciated the role of BJP Mahila Morcha in preparing and distributing face masks to the people during the pandemic.Chief Minister said that when first case of corona virus was reported in the country not even single PPE kit was prepared in the country. He said that today 5 lakh PPE kits were being prepared daily in the country and India today was exporting the same to several countries. He said that similarly, in Himachal Pradesh there were only 50 ventilators and today there were more than 600 ventilators in the State. He said that the State Government also brought back over 2.50 lakh Himachalis stranded in various parts of the country due to covid-19 pandemic. He said that BJP workers worked with dedication and relentlessly to provide all possible help to the people during the pandemic.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the opposition in the State was directionless, leaderless and issueless political party. He said that the Congress leaders were desperately trying to find issue against the State Government in a bid to remain politically alive. He said that the Congress leaders in the State even did not spare their own party and raised a bill of Rs. 12 crore before the High Command, claiming that this amount was spent by the party to help the needy during the pandemic. He said that the Himachal Model was today being appreciated even by the Prime Minister, Home Minister and National BJP President. He said that the initiatives like ‘Panna Pramukh Sammelan’, ‘Tridev Sammelan’ etc were being adopted by other BJP organisations in several States.Chief Minister said that the people of the State gave their wholehearted support to the State Government and ensured landslide victory of the BJP candidates in all the elections held in the State since last three years. He said that this winning streak should continue for years to come. He said that it was for the first time that the State Government created three new Municipal Corporations and 389 panchayats in the State to ensure better development of the State. He said that the Congress Government during all these years made only one Municipal Corporation at Dharamshala, but the present State Government created three Municipal Corporations of Palampur, Solan and Mandi.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was ensuring that the pace of development goes uninterrupted in the State even during the pandemic. He said that foundation stones and inaugurations worth Rs 3500 crore were performed by him virtually and actually in about 42 Assembly Constituencies of the State. He said that the State was about to achieve the target of vaccinating 93,000 people in the first phase of the vaccination. He also appreciated the Union Budget by terming it a balanced budget even during the pandemic. 

He also thanked the Union Government for providing interest free loan worth Rs 450 crore to the State. He also thanked the Finance Commission for recommending Rs 1000 crore for Green Field Airport Mandi and Rs 400 crore for expansion of Gaggal airport in Kangra district. Chief Minister urged the party workers to ensure that the BJP Government comes again to power in 2022 Assembly Elections. He said that Jan Manch and CM Helpline 1100 have been proving a boon to the people for redressal of their grievances. He said that Grihini Suvidha Yojna has benefited 2.91 lakh families and Him Care has provided health care facilities to the people by spending about Rs 150 crore. He said that 81,292 beneficiaries have been benefitted under Ayushman Bharat. He said that a new scheme Mukhyamantri Shahri Rozgar Guarantee Yojna was launched to provide guaranteed employment to the urban poor. He said that the Farmers Bill was aimed at welfare and betterment of the farmers.Jai Ram Thakur also urged the party functionaries to ensure effective use of social media to disseminate policies and programmes of the Centre and the State Governments. He said that the State Government was first to start e-Budget and e-Cabinet and ensure greater use of modern technology. He also urged the party workers to give their wholehearted support to make the Golden Jubilee Year celebrations of the Statehood a grand success.Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur, State BJP In-charge Avinash Rai Khanna, Co-Incharge Sanjay Tandon, National Vice President BJP Saudhaan Singh, State BJP President Suresh Kashyap, Members of Parliament Kishan Kapoor and Indu Goswami, former Speaker Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Organisation Secretary Pawan Rana, General Secretaries State BJP Trilok Jamwal and Rakesh Jamwal, Chairman Woolfed Trilok Kapoor, MLAs, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations, Presidents of various frontal organisations of BJP and other leaders were present on the occasion.
