The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting of Petrol Pump Owners (PPOs) to discuss the availability of facilities and implementation of various guidelines at filling stations established within the district.During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on installation of transparent pipes for dispensation of oil, public convenience facility, installation of free air facility, stock position besides adherence to rationing guidelines that was recently issued by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.At the onset, AD food briefed the meeting about the stock position of petrol and diesel and informed that 2.05 lakh litres of diesel and over 1.08 lakh litres of petrol are available at 12 filling stations of the district.The DC directed the petrol pump owners to ensure implementation of set guidelines in letter and spirit and warned of strict action under the relevant laws against those found violating the rules and regulations.The owner of Paristan Filling Station Ganganger, Gund was directed to take all necessary measures for operating the said filling station within 3 days so that the locals do not suffer.Meanwhile the DC directed the enforcement wing to carry regular inspection of all petrol pumps functioning within the district and take stern action against the violators.The meeting was attended by Assistant Director FCS&CA, Naseer Ahmad Baba, TSOs besides petrol pump owners.
