To ensure effective implementation of provisions of Forest Right Act (FRA) in the district, the District Administration Shopian in collaboration with Forest Division Shopian today organized Training cum Awareness programme for Forest Rights Committees and field functionaries of the Forest department, Rural Development Department and Revenue Department.The training programme was presided over by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Choudhry Mohammad Yasin.On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned officers to strictly follow the timelines of the training schedule to ensure thorough awareness of the Forest Right Act for smooth and proper awareness among the general public.During the training, the Master trainers explained in detail the implementation of the Forest Rights Act and constitution of different committees and their functions and procedures to the participants. Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Dr. Ab Aziz, DDC Members, Divisional Forest Officer Shopian, District Panchayat Officer, Range Officers and other concerned officers were present during the training programme.
