District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today reviewed the progress and status of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) roads here at a meeting of Executive Engineers and executing agencies.The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; XEn PMGSY Division Kishwar, Mohinder Singh; XEN PMGSY and R&B Division Marwah, Mohammad Aslam Lone; DFO Marwah, Vijay Kumar; AEE PMGSY, besides other officials and Contractors.The DDC took division and Sub division wise review of the progress of the PMGSY roads under construction in the district.Forest clearances, land acquisition and other issues were discussed in the meeting and necessary directions were issued.The Executive Engineers of PMGSY was asked to resolve all the issues and expedite the pace of work for time bound completion of the roads.Concerned XENs were further directed to fix fortnightly targets for the contractors and review the same and apprise the district administration accordingly.The DDC stressed on the completion of the roads on utmost priority viz. Kandini to Ohli, Patnazi to Kither, Dangduroo to Lopara Dachhan.He further impressed upon contractors to ensure timely completion of the projects, otherwise strict action including the blacklisting and the termination of the contractors shall be initiated.
