The 3rd International Conference on Manual Therap-2013 (INTERCOMAT) jointly organised by Cheshta Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Ivy Hospital, Super Speciality Hospital Mohali, Sardar Bhagwan Sing Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Balawala Dehradun and Capri Institute of Manual Therapy, New Delhi here at GMCH, Sector 32. The conference Felicitation ceremony was presided over by Advisor to the Chief Minister Punjab on National Affairs & Media Mr. Harcharan Bains.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Bains underscored the need of Physiotherapy in the modern health care system as it effectively helps in the rehabilitation of the patients, inflected with several critical diseases especially in the cases of trauma. He said that that Physiotherapy was almost needed in every faculty of Medical Science ‘as recuperating therapy’. In the modern Medical Science Physiotherapy has done a miracle in not merely curing the patients but also help them leading a normal life, added Mr. Bains. Earlier, the inaugural session of this two-day conference was presided over by SSP Mohali Mr.G.S Bhullar. As many as 61 research papers were presented during the conference. Conference was attended by a large number of Physiotherapists across the country besides, eminent physiotherapists of the country like Dr. Manish Arora , Dr. Narkeesh, Dr. Jagmohan, Dr. Jasobanta Sethi, Dr. Amit and Dr. Arun Mozhi, who delivered their lectures on different aspects of Physiotherapy. Organizing Secretary of INTERCOMAT-2013, Dr. Ankush Randhawa who is presently serving as Director Physiotherapy department Ivy Hospital Mohali proposed the vote of thanks.On the occasion Mr. Bains presented awards to the distinguish speakers besides honouring the members of organizing committee and the best research paper on Physiotherapy.
