Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu laid the foundation stone of Health and Wellness Centre at village Kurara. The centre will be built with the cost of 45.6 lakhs in the village to provide basic and quality health care services to the patients at their doorstep.On the Occasion Mr. Sidhu said that the Punjab Government under the able leadership of Captain Amrinder Singh is working tirelessly for Mission Tandrust Punjab and these Health centres will play an important role to make this dream true.The Minister said that the Health centre will have a Community Health Officer (CHO) and Multipurpose health Workers, Asha workers, to provide basic health services to the people. The centre would provide, 27 free of cost medicines, 6 diagnostic tests and Tele-Consultation facilities.Furthermore the health care services for pregnant women, care of women during delivery, care of newborns etc health services would be provided in the health centre.Minister also applauded Health department team and the Asha workers who are on the forefront to fight the pandemic. He said that the entire Punjab is indebted to the teams of the Health Department and other concerned departments who have effectively controlled the Coronavirus through mutual coordination and cooperation in the State.After laying the foundation stone at village Kurara Mr Sidhu visited the Government Senior Secondary Smart School Gigamajra. Minister inspected the Under Construction building of the school and gave a check of Rs.5 Lakh to the Principal Ms. Harinder Kaur in the presence of village Panchayat. It is worth mentioned that the work to construct building is underway with a cost of Rs 50 lakh.
