In yet another citizen centric initiative, Mohali Traffic Police under the guidance of SSP Satinder Singh initiates ‘Mask Pao, Corona Bhajao’ (Wear Mask, Get rid of Corona) Campaign.Issuing Traffic challans for violation of the government guidelines is our duty and we are doing so, but we are have also taken up free distribution of masks for citizens’ welfare, informed SP Traffic Mohali, Gurjot Singh Kaler. We also educate violators about the seriousness of the corona virus pandemic, said he.Pertinently, SSP Satinder Singh right after assuming had made it clear that crime control and community policing will go hand in hand in his administration. At the very outset he issued relaxation to senior citizens, females and minors from exhaustive visits to police stations for verification purposes. Thereafter, under Gurjot Kaler traffic wing undertook special campaign to rid the city from the menace of vehicular noise pollution by going extremely strict on pressure horn installed vehicles. Later, in a noble gesture police was seen hand –holding children of hit and run victim and yet another pro people initiative has been witnessed with SP Traffic Mohali, Gurjot Singh Kaler personally educating people about the necessity of wearing masks and distributing free masks to public.
