Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and chief spokesperson Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj on Sunday said that AAP believes that Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has shown utter irresponsibility by leaving Delhi to campaign for Hyderabad municipal election when lakhs of farmers are waiting to talk to him at the Delhi border. He said that In the history of post-Independent India we have never witnessed such an irresponsible Home Minister, such a Home Minister is dangerous for the country. He said that when lakhs of farmers are protesting and trying to talk to the Home Minister then he is busy at election campaign for a municipal poll. Shri Bhardwaj said that on the one hand, Shri Amit Shah is telling the farmers that due to their protest Corona cases might increase and on the other hand he is claiming that in his Hyderabad roadshow there was massive public participation which shows no social distancing was maintained; this is sheer hypocrisy.Shri Bhardwaj said, "We are in a very serious situation right now. Farmers from across the states of North India have reached the borders of Delhi. Nearly 10,000 farmers from Punjab are sitting at the borders of Delhi. They have faced water cannon, tear gas and lathi from Haryana police. Despite this kind of serious oppression, these poor farmers are protesting against the antifarmer laws passed by BJP ruled central government."He said, "The Delhi police are not allowing the farmers to enter the capital but union home Minister Shri Amit Shah is keeping the condition in front of these farmers that he will only talk to them if they settle down at the Burari Ground. In Delhi, if there is any law and order situation then the union home minister should be answerable because Delhi police is under the BJP ruled central government."
He said, "Lakhs of farmers are waiting to get a response from Shri Amit Shah but I am aghast to see that Shri Amit Shah is doing a poll campaign for the Hyderabad municipal Corporation election. In this serious situation, the Home Minister of our country is not in Delhi but in Hyderabad and he is holding a press conference regarding the issues related to Hyderabad municipality. The Home Minister of our country is doing an election campaign for the councillors of Hyderabad and taking out massive roadshows. He is talking about Hyderabad city‘s waterlogging problem and the problems of potholes."Shri Bhardwaj said, "I believe that after Independence in the history of India we have never witnessed such a Home Minister who is not dealing with such a serious issue of the farmers but doing a poll campaign for a municipality election. Till yesterday he was telling the farmers that because of their protest the cases of COVID-19 will rise in Delhi. But just a few minutes back in his press conference the Home Minister said that there was massive participation of people in his roadshow."He said, "This statement by the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah clearly proves that there was no social distancing in his roadshow in Hyderabad. Shri Amit Shah was telling the journalist that there was no space to keep feet at his roadshow with pride. But the same person was telling the farmers that their protest can increase the number of Corona cases."Shri Bhardwaj said, "The Aam Aadmi Party believes that this is the utter hypocrisy of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and we condemn such irresponsible act. The Aam Aadmi Party believes that such a home minister is very dangerous for India."
