Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 3.55 crore in the various sectors.Development works will be carried out in the city in upcoming days.In this Rs2.04 crore will be spent on construction of volleyball, lawn tennis and basketball courts in various sector parks.Along with this Rs1.01crore is for the upgradation of market of phase 9 and Rs49.50 Lakh will be spent on recarpeting of different roads of sector 71.While addressing the gathering the minister said that the Punjab government is committed for the welfare of citizens and these development projects are important for the health of our youth and to encourage them towards a healthy lifestyle. Under the able leadership of captain Amrinder Singh, no stone will be left untouched for improving our citizens health.Municipal corporation Commissioner Mr Kamal Kumar Garg, Chief Engineer Mukesh Garg, Former Councillor Kuljit Singh Bedi, Political Advisor to the minister Harkesh Chand sharma were also present on the occasion.
