The District Red Cross Society in association with Punjab Air Sqn NCC, Dhillon Colony organized a blood donation camp in the Red Cross Bhawan on Thursday. As many as 30 blood units were collected during the camp.Secretary Inderdev Singh exhorted the youth of the district to voluntarily come forward for donating the blood as it could save many precious lives. He said that these camps were very important for the society for inculcating a value of selfless service of humanity amongst the students.Lauding the enthusiastic participation of the NCC cadets, he said that this was an encouraging trend which needs to be carried forward zealously.The youths were also honoured for donating blood in the camp.
