Haryana CM flags off 20 ambulances

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday flagged off 20 new ambulances to improve the health services in Gurugram district.These ambulances were provided by  a private firm under Corporate Social Responsibility."These ambulances will increase health facilities in Gurugram's rural area as well, said Khattar via video conferencing.The CM  also congratulated the people on the first anniversary of the second term of the BJP led state government.He asserted that the support given by the corporate sector is  commendable."Whenever a disaster has occurred in the state, the corporate sector has always extended its support," he said.He mentioned the assistance given by the  corporate sector under CSR in the Covid+19 era, and said that in this hour of crisis, 46 big companies of Gurugram have provided material worth more than Rs 30 crore which has  brought great relief to the people.Talking about the CM Corona Relief Fund, the Chief Minister said that 17 companies have given Rs 6 crore, 31 lakh to help the needy people.

Referring to health facilities, Khattar said that earlier there used to be a total of 750 MBBS seats in the state in 2014-15, now this number has increased to more than  1700.Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr Virendra Yadav and many other officials were  present on the occasion.
