DC inspects services in Sewa Kendra, directs to ensure hassle-free services to people
Asks official to dispose applications in time-bound manner, Visits service delivery counters, interacts with the public to seek their feedback

Reiterating firm commitment of the district administration to provide citizen-centric services to people in a time-bound and hassle-free manner, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Thursday conducted a surprise check at the Sewa Kendra in district administrative complex.Accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Harpreet Singh, Deputy Commissioner said that Sewa Kendras must ensure prompt delivery of services to the people visiting there.He said that Sewa Kendras were opened by the state government to facilitate the people and any sort of laxity on their parts would not be tolerated at any cost.Meanwhile, he visited the various service delivery counters and interacted with the public there while taking their valuable feedback. Thori reviewed the various phases of a citizen-centric services from issuing of a token number to delivery of the service.He asked the officials to carry out inspections of the working at sewa Kendras intermittently while laying emphasis on the time-bound services without any inconvenience to the people.DC said that zero-tolerance policy must be adopted against any sort of inordinate delay by the Sewa Kendras and stern action would be taken against management of Sewa Kendra.He said that services must be provided to people within 25 minutes of getting the token, adding that this norm must be implemented in the right earnest.The DC also asked the staff working in the Kendras to be polite and courteous to people as they were here to serve them. The work distribution among the staff members must be done in a proper manner to streamline the system, he said.
