2nd leg of B2V3 commences with verve across 104 panchayats of Rajouri district

The 2nd leg of "Back to Village program- 3" today took off across 104 Panchayats of Rajouri district witnessing overwhelming  public response.The second segment of the unique program started with a multitude of development activities carried out on the day.The visiting officers paid visits to the assigned Panchayats and organised Gram Sabhas and listened to the grievances of the common masses. The locals raised several demands regarding their day to day matters and sought inadequate water supply, macadamization and renovation of roads, upgradation of schools, better health services and related issues.Special ward sabhas were organised in which the people projected local developmental needs before the visiting officers.The visiting officers recorded all the demands and issues of the public in the Back to Village booklet and reiterated that all their genuine grievances shall be taken up with the concerned for early redressal.They also urged the people to stand up for their rights and know about the government schemes for their welfare. The visiting officers apprised the people of different government initiatives and welfare schemes meant for socio-economic empowerment of rural areas.The visiting officers also conducted field visits and took stock of key facilities and services being made available to the people. The inspection of  PHCs, PHE installations, Schools, Veterinary facilities and other services in the rural areas were also conducted.
