B2V3: Programme organised across 96 Panchayats in Kulgam

On the 4th day of the B2V3 programme, a series of activities were conducted across 96 panchayats of 6 blocks in the district with active participation of PRIs and the general public.On the occasion, Visiting Officers profiled issues, grievances and demands of the people besides asked the public to identify their priority works that can be forwarded for next year district plan under various centrally/ state sponsored schemes.The Visiting Officers also inaugurated several developmental work projects in the panchayats.Meanwhile the District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat visited several Panchayat halqas where locals apprised him of their issues and demands.The DDC said that the main purpose of this programme is to collect feedback on delivery of government programmes, undertaking assessment of needs of the villages and implementation of beneficiary oriented schemes at grassroots level with active public participation.The Director Urban local bodies Riyaz Ahmad Wani visited Panchayat halqa, Ashmuji-B where he remained active with different activities regarding Back To Village programme and people apprised him about the issues.The Additional Inspector General of Registrations Kashmir, Gulzar Shabnam Dar also visited Panchayat Halqa Ashmuji-A where he profiled the issues of people as Visiting Officer.
