In order to provide crop residue management machinery to the farmers at affordable cost, State Government has fixed the rentals, informed Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan.Per acre rates fixed for providing hiring the machines are Happy Seeder Rs. 1300(Rs. 200 or per hour), RMB Plow 2 bottom Rs. 1200 or per hour( or Rs. 200 per hour), RMB plow 3 bottom Rs. 1500 (or Rs.300 per hour), Shrub master Rs. 400 (or Rs. 100 per hour), Straw Chopper / Mulcher upto 7ft Rs. 1200 (or Rs. 200 per hour), Straw chopper 8ft. trail type & combo Rs. 1500 ( or Rs. 250 per hour), Rotary Slasher Rs. 400 ( Rs.100 or per hour) , Zero till drill Rotavator Rs.150 per hour, Extra charges for Harvester with SMS Rs.300-500,Super Seeder Rs. 1600- 2000 (or Rs.400-500 per hour).Pertinently the crop residue management machinery is being provided through 30 Custom Hiring Centres and 67 Co-operative societies in the district.
