Villagers pin high hopes as B2V3 commences in 64 Panchayats of Udhampur

Visiting officers launch new works; inspect vital installations

The villagers are pinning high hopes as the Back to Village –phase III activities were held across 64 Panchyats here.The day began with the visiting officers holding marathon meetings with the PRIs including BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanchs , Panchs , locals and Gram Sabha members  at their assigned  panchayats. The PRIs and local people projected several demands and projected demands which include   better power supply, augmentation of drinking water, Medicare facilities, improved road connectivity especially internal roads, inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat, school up gradation, clearing of pending payments under MGNREGA etc.Senior officers who visited Panchayats were Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes, Vishesh Pal Mahajan, Financial Advisor, Manav Gupta Additional Secretary to Government, Information Technology Department, Vaibhav Kohli, besides other officers.The teams also conducted inspection of public service including hospitals, schools, PHE and Power installations. The visiting officers were accompanied by functionaries of the line departments to ensure proper understanding and recording of grievances. The   officers after proper documentation will submit a consolidated report to higher authorities.A several places the officers inaugurated PMAY houses, inspected ongoing works, laid foundation stones for new works.During the Gram Panchayats, Rashtriya Swachhta pledges were administered to PRIs and public by the visiting officers.
