ADC Kishtwar flags off 1.5 KM 'fit India freedom Run'

District Youth Services & Sports Department Kishtwar today organized 1.5 KM 'Fit India Freedom Run' as part of the Fit India Mission.The Fit Indian movement was launched by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the year 2019 as a nation-wide movement to encourage people to stay healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily life.The Chief guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Kumar Parihar, in presence of District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Kharati Lal Sharma, flagged off the 'Fit India freedom Run' from  the Mini Secretariat. The 1.5 KM run started for Mini Secretariat Kishtwar and concluded at Char Chinar Kishtwar.Speaking on the occasion, the ADC appreciated the Youth Services & Sports for its overall performance in and made the participants aware regarding the importance of the Fit India Campaign.A large number of youth and Physical Education Masters/Teachers participated in the marathon by following all Covid-19 Protocols. The participants ran with full enthusiasm, discipline and completed the target .The DYSSO spoke about the benefits of running  and requested  all to continue the practice  to develop   physique, strength, endurance, flexibility and achieve  mental calm.He thanked Chief Guest, Participants and all Sports Department employees for putting in their best efforts, dedication and sincerity to make the event a success in times of Covid-19 pandemic.
