DDC Kupwara reviews Skill Development sector

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review formulation of Action Plan for Skill Development sector here.The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to get their field machinery activated to boost the skill development scenario in the district and directed the concerned agencies to work in coordination to fill the demand supply-gap of the skill sector here.The DDC said that the artisans should be linked with proper financial schemes offered by various agencies like KVIB, EDI and DIC to enable them to boost their livelihood manifold. He assured full support from District Administration to give fillip to the Skill Development sector in the district.He also urged upon the educated unemployed youth to come forward and take part in skill developmental activities for which various schemes have been launched by the government from time to time.The DDC directed the Superintendent ITI Kupwara to hold weekly based meetings with all concerned Departments and Skill developmental agencies and submit the review report to his office.Earlier, the DDC took a detailed review of schemes implemented by the concerned agencies in the district.Additional District Development Commissioner(ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Mission Director, Skill Development, JD Planning, Chief Education Officer, Superintendent ITI Kupwara, representatives from DIC, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, EDI, DCI and other concerned attended the meeting.
