While listening to public grievance during his stay in Manali today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the government is committed to give new direction to the possibilities of tourism in the state and to promote tourism in every region.He assured the representatives of the Luge Federation that the Winter Sports would be encouraged in the state and especially in Manali. He said that there is immense possibility of activities like skiing, mountaineering related to winter sports in various areas of the state.He said that in order to promote tourism in the area, out of the box activities are required so that sustainable tourism could be set up in the area to increase the stay of tourists in the area.The Chief Minister said that with the Winter Sports would provide opportunity to the youth to show their talent and would also get an opportunity to compete in higher competion. Such events would improve be numbers of tourist in the state.Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur MLA Surender Shourie, State BJP Vice President Dhaneshwari Thakur, District BJP President Bhimsen were also present on the occasion.
