As part of Jan Abhiyan, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today paid a visit to Uri where he presided over a mega function, organized in connection with the campaign.On the occasion, DC distributed 6 community based paddy threshers were handed over to the concerned BDC chairpersons besides, several certificates including income, category and other essential certificates were distributed among the identified beneficiaries.Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the objectives of the programme and said that Jan Abhiyan is the first of its kind proactive Government-beneficiary interface campaign which aims to demonstrate the efficiency and capability of government functionaries in addressing the issues of a common man.Meanwhile, DC complimented the participants and urged the people to come forward and avail benefits of the programme. He also reiterated that administration is committed to deliver public services effectively and efficiently.Moreover, DC informed that during the said period, several camps shall be organized across the district during which different types of public services shall be delivered instantly.SDM Uri, BDC Chairpersons, district and sectoral officers, PRI representatives besides a huge gathering of people participated in the programme.
