The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat today inaugurated Panchayat Bhawan at D. K. Marg and a bridge at Chimmer Noorabad at Nallah Kandi.Both the work projects were executed by the Rural Development Department with a cost of 29.10 lacs and 14 lacs respectively.Later the DDC visited several areas of the district and took stock of pace and progress of several developmental projects being executed by various agencies in the district.The DDC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of work and complete the works within a set time frame.The DDC also took stock of the ongoing macadamization process at Chawalgam Kulgam and the quality of the material used for black topping work was also checked.While highlighting the developmental scenario in the district the DDC said that the work on various developmental projects in the district is going on in full swing and work on several other projects is near to completion while some projects will be commissioned within days.Present on the occasion were ACD/DPO Mohammad, Tehsildar D. H. Pora, BDO D.K.Marg and other officers.
