Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmed along with inspection team from Divisional Control Room comprising of Additional Deputy Commissioner to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse and Nodal Officer COVID-19, Testing labs Dr. Jitendra Mehta today reviewed the ongoing Covid-19 Mitigation efforts in district.The team inspected COVID Hospital (Level-I) at Pazalpora and COVID Hospital (Level-II) at IDPS Kaloosa and interacted with the patients and the medical staff to get the feedback and the first-hand account of the facilities available in these centres.They also visited Sample Collection centres at Khenusa, Bonakoot and DPL to inspect the sample collection process besides inspecting the implementation of SOPs for Home Quarantine and administrative quarantine.Later the team interacted with Deputy Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmad and presented their observations during the inspection and also held a threadbare discussion regarding the mitigation efforts put up by the district administration and health department to combat COVID-19 pandemic in the district.They also took stock of availability of COVID medicines, infrastructure available at District Hospital and other COVID hospitals including availability of oxygen cylinders, blood bank, Dialysis machines, Status of Rapid Antigen Tests, composition of surveillance teams, availability of beds and other related facilities in the district.The Visiting Officers lauded the efforts of the district administration and appreciated the health officials for their commitment in combating COVID-19 in the district.They stressed on Health Officials to focus on patients in home isolation and home quarantine for their effective recovery and emphasized on proper monitoring of these patients, their regular thermal checkups and sensitization on following the Covid-19 protocol religiously with special focus on use of masks in public places.
