District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, today urged Rural Development Department (RDD) to adopt innovative methods for effective implementation of schemes at grass root level.The DDC said this during a meeting of the Rural Development Department to review its functioning, progress made under the flagship programmes including PMAY, MGNREGA, SBM (G), 14th FC, Back to Village and utilization of SBM funds.The DDC sought the details regarding utilization of SBM funds, GEO tagging of works, LOB and NOLB, FTO generation under MGNREGA and 14TH FC, uploading of MGREGA plan, PMAY and 15th FC plan on e-Gramswaraj portal, status of Panchayat Bawan, completion of CSCs and rural connectivity works.While reviewing the progress on development of play fields in the district, the DDC directed the RDD that play fields shall be developed in all panchayats besides they should also identify such panchayats where there is demand for additional play fiel.The DDC impressed upon BDOs to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas and exhorted upon them to work with a pro-active and people friendly approach.The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineer RDD, District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officers, AEEs, AEs and other concerned officials.
