Women from various walk of life tie Rakhi to Governor

On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the women folk from various sections of the society tied colourful Rakhis on the wrist of Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan, today and pray for his good health.While congratulating them on Raksha Bandhan festival, the Governor said that the message hidden behind every festival was important. The holy festival of Raksha Bandhan gives us the message of love, brotherhood and harmony. However, in this critical time of Corona pandemic, we need fight together and spread the message of love and protection especially for sisters.He said that the festival of Rakhi should not only remain a family affair, but should be celebrated as a social fest for nurturing the social bonding and this is high time that we show our special respect towards the Corona warriors by tying up protection thread. He expressed hope that festival would bring peace, harmony and prosperity in the country.The Governor also thanked and honoured all the sisters on the occasion.Mayor Satya Kaundal, President, State BJP Mahila Morcha Rashmi Dhar Sood and senior lady officers among others were also present on the occasion.
